Bayo Bello is the Founder and Managing Partner of Lawhouse Partners (LHP). He bagged his LL. B. From Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and LL.M from Lagos State University.
He is the lead counsel in the firm commercial/transactional briefs.
Acted as solicitor to one of the parties in the financial structuring towards the $200 million purchase of a five star hotel in Abuja, Nigeria
• Drafted various financial documentation in respect of transaction between International finance Corporation and an International oil company operating in Nigeria.
• Drafted $25million bridge loan agreement between Stanbic Bank and Indorama finance limited
• Prepared the master agreement for foreign exchange transaction between Nigerian international bank and atlas cement company
• Acted for WAPCO in the preparation of legal document in respect of Larfarge acquisition of majority shares in WAPCO
• Conducted due diligence in respect of Telkom SA acquisition of majority shares in multilink communications of Nigeria
• Proffer legal advice on real estate development financing involving turnkey projects, residential and commercial developments, leases and sub-leases
• Represents clients in property sales and purchases and conducting all necessary due diligence towards successful transaction.
• Acted as legal consultant to the Bureau Of Public Enterprise (BPE) in the privatization of downstream sector of oil industry specifically petroleum and pipeline marketing company (PPMC), which task included:
o Formulate a regulatory framework for open access petroleum pipelines and storage operations in Nigeria
o Formulate regulations for licensing petroleum logistic companies
Acquired wide range of experience in commercial law practice particularly oil and gas (draft agreements in relation to upstream and downstream operations) and all aspects of companies formation and other activities, mergers and acquisitions, share issues, dispute over ownership of shares and equity of corporations, legal adviser to financial institutions in relation to secured credits, capital market solicitor including consultancy in development of derivative market, Legal advisory to start up telecommunication companies(on licensing, Capital requirement e.t.c)
